Hemang Badani

Hemang Badani is a former Indian cricketer who represented the Indian national team in Tests and ODIs. He was mainly a left-handed middle order batsman and a slow left arm bowler who played 4 Tests and 40 ODIs for India. He was born in 1976 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He played for sometime in the breakaway Indian Cricket League for the Chennai Superstars team. As a result, he was not considered for mainstream cricket with Tamil Nadu and India during that period. He signed up for the Indian Cricket League in 2007 and quit in 2009 and made himself available for the domestic cricket, Indian Premier League and for the Indian national cricket team after one year of quitting the ICL. His most well known innings was in an ODI against Australia where he scored his maiden century in the 2000–2001 series at Pune.
