So, how should you get started on Signal? This article will go over how to create a profile on Signal NFX so that you can start using all of the features they have to offer.
Create a Signal account
In order to use the services and features that Signal NFX has to offer, you’ll first need to create an account. To do this, head to their main homepage and then click on the ‘login’ button on the top right of the page.
Once you’ve done this, it will direct you to the login screen, where you’ll be prompted to either enter your login information or to create a new account. Click on ‘sign up’ and then enter in all the necessary information Signal asks for in order to create the account.

Personalize your Signal Experience
Following the creation of your account, you will be asked to answer some questions regarding your company and other details. For starters, they ask what stage your company is in and you may select from:
- Pre-seed
- Seed
- Post-seed
- Series A
- Series B
Once you have selected the stage that your company is in, you will be asked to select the company sector that your company is in. Following the selection of three sectors, you’ll be able to add your LinkedIn profile as well as the profiles of any other individuals working with you. Next, you’ll be prompted to list all your current Investors by their name or company. We highly recommend including all investors that you are able to include, as it will establish credibility for your company. You’ll also be able to invite your contacts to your new company profile through Signal NFX!
Create your Investor Profile
Now that you’ve created an account on Signal and have added all applicable company information, you are ready to begin the process of becoming an Investor. This is much more akin to creating a social media profile, as you will be prompted to upload some photos of yourself and include some personal facts.
We highly recommend uploading some professionally shot photos of yourself to your Signal profile if you are interested in becoming a serious investor on the platform. This way, potential companies you contact to invest in will jump at the chance to sell you a stake in their company webtoon.
On the personal info tab, you can select what type of investor you are, such as venture capitalist, scout, angel, advisor, or just a basic investor. You’ll also be able to include relevant social links such as your LinkedIn, Twitter, Crunchbase, and AngelList.
Following the personal info tab, you’ll be able to enter information about your investing career. This includes things such as your firm, position, minimum investment, maximum investment, sweet spot, investment stages, and location. Additionally, you will be able to check whether or not you are a lead investor or not, and what other attributes you have as an investor, such as being female or diverse.
After you have filled out the Investing information tab with your details, you will be asked to choose up to 10 sectors of interest. We recommend choosing all 10, that way you will have the most companies to access and view for potential investments.
