Indrajitsinhji

Indrajitsinhji was an Indian cricketer who represented the Indian national side in 4 Tests between 1964 and 1969 as a wicketkeeper-batsman. He was born in 1937 in Jamnagar, Gujarat. He is the great nephew of Ranjitsinhji, and the nephew of Duleepsinhji, both of whom played Test cricket. He played in all the three matches against Australia in 1964-65 and one Test against New Zealand at Hyderabad in 1969–70. His moment of glory came when he supported Chandu Borde to put on 32 runs for the ninth-wicket partnership to clinch a memorable two-wicket victory for India at Bombay. He represented Delhi and Saurashtra in first class cricket from 1954 to 1973. He was one of the first wicketkeepers to cross 100 dismissals in the domestic competition and claimed a record 23 dismissals in one year in 1960-61 seasons. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 73 years.
