Nirode Chowdhury

Nirode Chowdhury was an Indian cricketer who played 2 Tests for India. He was primarily a right-arm medium pace as well as an off-break bowler. He played against the West Indies at Madras in 1948-49 and took one wicket. He appeared in a Test against England at home in 1951-52 and toured England in 1952 but did not appear in a Test. Initially, he played for Bihar in the domestic competition and made an impact by taking 11, 9 and 10 wickets in his first three matches. He then moved to Bengal and again returned to Bihar towards the end of his career.
