Pananmal Punjabi

Pananmal Punjabi was an Indian cricketer who represented the Indian national team in 5 Tests in 1955. He was a right-handed batsman. He was born in Karachi, Sind in 1921. He toured Pakistan in 1954-55 and opened the innings with Pankaj Roy in all five Tests. He amassed 164 runs in the series, scoring his highest total of 33 at Bahawalpur. During that innings, he and Roy put on 58 which is the best opening partnership of the series. In the next Test at Lahore, he and Roy had an opening partnership of 52 runs. He represented Gujarat in most of his first class matches. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 90.
