Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani musician, chiefly a singer of Qawwali, the devotional song of the Sufis. He is the nephew of the legendary Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He also performs ghazals and other light music in addition to Qawwali. He is also a popular playback singer in Bollywood and the Pakistan film industry.

He made his debut as a playback singer in Bollywood with the film Paap in 2003 singing the hit number “Mann Ki Lagan”. The other Bollywood films where he lent his voice includes Ishqiya, Love Aaj kal, Om Shanti Om, Dabangg, Bodyguard and Sultan. He also appeared as a judge in some Indian television shows. He won numerous awards in his career including Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer and Screen Award for Best Male Playback for the song “Dil To Bachcha Hai” from the movie Ishqiya. He also won the Pakistan Media Awards twice as the Best Male Singer.
