Daler Mehndi is an Indian singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer known for his energetic dance songs. He made Bhangra popular worldwide to a great extent. His debut album Bolo Ta Ra Ra sold more than 20 million copies. He won Channel V’s Best Indian Male Pop Artist Award for the album which established him as a pop star. His second album Dardi Rab Rab was also a smash hit exceeding the sales of the first album. The album won him the Channel V Best Indian Male Artist Award. His third album Ho Jayegi Balle Balle also won him accolades. He then went on to release numerous albums.

Besides album’s, he did playback singing in numerous Bollywood films. He composed the song “Na Na Na Re” for the Bollywood film Mrityudata. Some of the other Bollywood films where he lent his voice include the song “Rang De Basanti” from the film Rang De Basanti, “Bhootni Ke” from Singh Is King,” Zor Ka Jhatka” from Action Replay, “Chamki Jawani” from the movie Yamla Pagla Deewana and the title song from the film Dangal.
