Dodda Ganesh was a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a right-handed lower order batsman who represented the Indian national cricket team in 4 Tests and 1 ODI in 1997. He was born in 1973 in Bangalore, Karnataka. He represented Karnataka in domestic cricket and made his debut in the 1994-95 seasons. He was one of the leading bowlers for Karnataka along with Javagal Srinath, Venkatesh Prasad, Anil Kumble and Sunil Joshi in the 1990s and early 2000s. He played a major role in helping Karnataka win the Ranji Trophy for the third time in the 1990s. He retired from cricket in 2007. He became the coach of Goa in 2012-13
